What can the Employment Directions Network do for me?
It can:

  • provide career guidance
  • develop the skills you need to gain employment
  • examine what is required in the modern workplace
  • help you develop a career plan
  • provide access to printed and electronic information and internet based resources
  • access to free resume writing software
  • provide information on how to access employment and training services in your region
  • help you to explore alternative enterprise pathways, such as self employment.

If we don't provide the service you are looking for, we will refer you to the most appropriate organisation.

 

What services and resources are available to help me?
We can help

  • We can help you with career exploration, employment information, work experience, insurance cover, internet access through MyGuide and job search support, in a friendly and supportive environment.

  • The Profit from Experience program can help mature age job seekers back into work with access to career guidance, training, career and job information

  • The School Leaver Program can assist with the transition from school to further education, training, employment, apprenticeships and traineeships.

  • Parents as Career Partners workshops are designed to assist parents of students to understand the current work and training environments and provide practical steps and ideas to help their children with career planning.

  • Our diverse services cater for;
    • culturally and linguistically diverse clients,
    • ex-offenders,
    • Indigenous Australians,
    • youth, and
    • those interested in environmental careers.

Who can use the Employment Directions Network?

  • Anyone. Our services are an open door for everyone in the community

How much do the services cost?

  • Employment Directions Network career centre services are funded by the Department of Education and Training and are provided free to the Western Australian community.

Do I need an appointment?

  • No, you can just drop in but a courtesy call to ensure we are not busy is a good idea. We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm
